Bridget Rosewell is a British economist. Her specialist expertise includes economic development, transport and agglomeration economics, development evaluation, infrastructure, forecasting, industry dynamics and competition as well as policy analysis related to these areas.

Her research interests focus on the economic performance of local economies, the performance of markets, and business organisation. She is especially interested in the application of the tools of complex systems analysis to these issues and in questions of validation.

Rosewell introduced the concept of agglomeration into UK policy, which quantifies the positive effects of the increases in economic density brought about by new infrastructure such as bridges and rail links.

Rosewell is chair of Volterra Consulting which she founded in 1998 with Paul Ormerod. She also acts as Chief Economist to the Greater London Authority. Bridget has previously founded and developed three consultancies, including Business Strategies Ltd which is now part of Experian. In 2007 she was named as one of the 25 most powerful people in London by the Evening Standard newspaper.
