Paul Ormerod is a
economist who is currently researchingcomplexity ,complex system s,nonlinear feedback , theboom and bust cycle of business and economic competition. Ormerod uses a multidisciplinary approach, making use ofbiology ,physics ,mathematics ,statistics andpsychology as sources of results that can be applied toeconomics .Biography
Ormerod completed his
undergrad economic studies atChrist's College Cambridge and hispostgrad studies atSt Catherine's College Oxford , for which he was awarded a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in economics. Upon graduation he worked as a forecaster at theNational Institute of Economic and Social Research . Later he founded several companies, firstHenley Centre which was sold to aFTSE100 company and later Volterra Consulting, which he founded with Bridget Rosewell and till today remains the director.
