Original series characters Professor Timothy Eliot Stokes and Laura Collins did not appear in the '91 series, although Professor Michael Woodard (in the 1991 series) was like a combination of original characters Dr. Woodard and Professor Stokes. Mention was made of Laura Collins and she likely would have appeared, had the series been renewed for a second season.
