Phillip Island Football Club
- Phillip Island Football Club
The Phillip Island Football Club, or PIFC, is a semi-professional Australian football club with facilities based in the township of Cowes on Phillip Island. PIFC currently plays in the Alberton Football League; fielding teams in the Senior, Reserves, Under 17, Under 15 and Under 13 divisions. Junior teams also play in a different league. The PIFC has been active in its current guise since 1946, while football has been played by clubs representing the area since the early 1930s. Last senior Premeirship flags won by the club- 1st 1990, Reserves back to back 1994-95.
Colours and Mascot
The PIFC wears Royal Blue, White and Red vertical bands and their mascot is the bulldog. While this mascot clashes with another team within the Alberton Football League (Korrumburra-Bena), both teams wear contrasting designs on their playing guernseys and subsequently both retain the name (unlike the Port Adelaide Power; formerly Magpies, who play in the AFL).

East/West
Former members of the PIFC's playing list contest annually the Keith "Whale" Delooze/Stewie Niven memorial match. The intra-club match pits players from the East of the island (including some of Cowes, Rhyll and Cape Woolamai) against the best from the Western side (the opposing section of Cowes, Ventnor, Smiths Beach etc). With the Blue East Team carrying a whale mascot and the Red West Team supporting a lion motif. All money raised from the event goes towards cancer research. Normally held on the queens birthday weekend.
