Adam Rogers

Adam Rogers is an American guitarist specializing in post bop, contemporary jazz, and classical music. He is currently a member of the Chris Potter Underground and the John Patitucci Trio, in addition to leading his own groups. He formally was a member of the Michael Brecker Group, the Mingus Orchestra, and Lost Tribe.

Career

Rogers has released four albums, to critical acclaim, as a leader: Art of the Invisible (2001), Allegory (2003), Apparitions (2005), and Time and the Infinite (2007).

As one of the most in-demand guitarists in the world, Rogers has performed and/or recorded with many top musicians including Michael Brecker, Chris Potter, David Binney, Edward Simon, Randy Brecker, John Patitucci, Brian Blade, Bill Stewart, Scott Colley, Clarence Penn, Nate Smith, Craig Tayborn, John Zorn, Regina Carter, Elvis Costello, Norah Jones, the Mingus Orchestra, Bill Evans, Matt Garrison, David Krakauer, and Ben Perowsky.

Rogers studied classical guitar at Mannes College of Music in Manhattan.
