website=|Randy Arnold (born
June 27 ,1976 ) is an American professional wrestler, better known as, "The Double "R" Supertar" Randy Royal. He is a mainstay of many independent wrestling promotions, including theHeartland Wrestling Association ,Ohio Valley Wrestling , Classic Championship Wrestling, Gex-X Wrestling, Bad 2 the Bone Wrestling, and other top promotions.Career
After graduating from
Bullitt Central High School inShepherdsville, Kentucky , Randy debated about following his dream of becoming a professional wrestler. Finally, in 1999 he decided to talk to "Nightmare" Danny Davis atOhio Valley Wrestling , then located inJeffersonville, Indiana . Davis' explanation of the how the wrestling business "isnt for everyone" speech did not deture Randy's decision. He signed up for the amateur class, four months later he would have his first match at St. Therese Gym inLouisville, Kentucky . From there, he would go on to be featured on the weekly OVW television show and regularly wrestling at the infamousLouisville Gardens . He could usually be seen working with today's top talent such asRandy Orton , Leviatian andShelton Benjamin .Randy went on to be a contender for the
OVW Light Heavyweight Championship . However, before that match could happen, Royal left OVW. This would be a very controversial move that is clouded in specualtion as Randy was being pushed in the direction a developmental contract withWorld Wrestling Entertainment . He decided to travel the indy scene. His first stop would be in Kentucky based promotion, Bad 2 the Bone Wrestling. Randy was a huge asset to BBW. He became one of the most hated wrestlers there while doing his "woman beater" gimmick with then valet, Jade. Randy had to be frequently escorted out of the buildings by security, in fear of angry fans. This would soon change.He became involved in a feud with Vic the Bruiser, the area's top villain. In what some would say were some of the best storylines in independent wrestling, these two performers played on every emotion one could think of; many of them being very controversial. Vic later went on to thank Randy in his acceptance speech when he was inducted in the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame in Kentucky, in 2007. Randy went on to hold the BBW Light Heavwieght title, US title, Hardcore title, Heavywieght title, and Tag-Team titles.
In BBW, Randy met who would become his partner in many more tenures across the region, K-Lo. Eventually calling themselves "The OverNite Males", they went on to win numerous Tag-Team Championships including BBW, RAW, TLW, CCW, NAW, and International championships.
