1957 ) is a prominentNigerian businessman from Nnewi,Anambra State . He is the Chairman Executive Officer of theMaersk Sealand based in Nigeria, one of the largest shipping companies in Nigeria; He also runsCuisin Limited a Spare parts company that manufactures, imports and exports all over the world. He was born to the family of Federick Ndefo, amissionary worker, who also worked at the Ikedife Hospital Umunnem inNnewi .He has for more than 30 years, played an active role in the
Nigerian economics andmarketing sector as well as advanced the cause and understanding through his extensive international business undertakings.By the year 1997, his company had become one the largest spare parts manufacturing and distributing companies in the country.Life
Ikechukwu Ndefo attended
Nnewi Boys High School , and acquired his school certificate in 1969. After secondary school, he joined theLukelin spare parts manufacturing company where he worked for 12 years. Even though it was a tough market to work in; but he continued working until he opened his own company which was first based at Ikeja. By 1990,Cuisin Limited was all over Nigeria and some states in America. He began working forMaersk sealand in 1998 where he now sits as the Chairman Executive officer in the branch inNigeria .He is known today as an entrepreneurial figure that created one of the largest modern Nigerian privately owned firms with other figures such as the low key Julie Megwa. He also tried out in politics in 2004, he was a gubernatorial candidate for Anambra State Governor, but lost to
Chris Ngige . He was also a member of the Liberal Convention and the New Movement, which metamorphosed to become NRC.Children
