HMS Contest (1894)

HMS Contest was one of three Banshee class destroyers to serve with the Royal Navy.

She was launched on December 1 1894 at the Laird, Son and Co shipyard, Birkenhead, ["The Times (London)", Monday, December 17 1894, p.10] and served most of her career in home waters. She was sold off in 1911.
