Coaching History
Before coaching at Friends, Lewis was the head coach for the Southwestern College Moundbuilders[3] and led the team to a record of 60 wins and 32 losses during his tenure to become the "all-time winningest coach in school history"[4] including a 1996 Wheat Bowl victory against Baker University.[5] In terms of head coach winning percentage at Southwestern, Lewis ranks #6 overall.
Playing History
As a player for the Southwestern College Moundbuilders, Lewis was an NAIA All-American in 1983 and 1984[6] where he played for head coaches Dennis Franchione and Charlie Cowdrey.,[7] including the 1982 Sunflower Bowl victory.[8]
