Pelican Products was founded in
Torrance, California in 1976 by David and Arline Parker. It was originally amail-order home business founded by David H. Parker in 1975. It was David Parker's desire to develop unique and practical products for the dive market. In October 2004, a private equity investment firm Behrman Capital, based in New York and San Francisco, paid about $200 million for Pelican Products. In August 2006, Behrman Capital announced that Lyndon J. Faulkner has been named CEO of Pelican™ Products, Inc. by its Board of Directors. He succeeds David H. Parker, who has retired from his role as Chief Executive Officer and was elected Vice Chairman of the Company’s Board.Cases
