- Depeaking
-
The depeaking of an airline hub (also known as a 'rolling airline hub') is a concept of airline logistics that smooths out hub aircraft movements, such that peaks and valleys in aircraft movements are removed. Consistent traffic throughout the day may increase connection times for passengers, but airlines are better able to manage their gate and human resources because it does not have to schedule resources for an onslaught of traffic (within a short interval).
