Edward Shenderovich

Edward Shenderovich (born 1976) is a Russian-American entrepreneur and poet. He co-founded Quantum Art, [http://www.quantumart.com] a content management software provider, Ixtens, [http://www.ixtens.com] a multi-channel systems integrator, and Dandelife, a social biography network. Edward currently occupies the role of Head of Strategic Development at SUP [http://www.sup.com] , a Moscow-based Internet company.

Business

Shenderovich was born in Leningrad, USSR (now St. Petersburg, Russia) and came to the United States in 1990. He graduated from University of California at Berkeley and clerked at Baker & McKenzie in St. Petersburg, Russia, and San Francisco, California. In 1998, he had left Baker & McKenzie to co-found Reasonance, an early blogging/RSS management company, ran a small web development/Internet strategy consulting practice, and later had joined Silicon Valley Bank, as the Industry Analyst in Communications and Online Services. In 2000, Edward founded OIKEO, a modular web software company, which was merged with Quantum Art later in the same year. Edward became Quantum Art’s CEO in 2004, following the company’s spin out of Ixtens, and is currently serving on the board of both entities.

In 2006, Shenderovich became a founding executive of SUP and currently oversees the company’s strategic development, including the development of LiveJournal in Russia. Poetry

Shenderovich writes and publishes poetry in Russian. He has been published by many Russian journals and included in ‘’Ulysses Released: Contemporary Russian Poets Abroad (In Russian:2004)’’ edited by Dmitry Kuzmin. Translators of his poetry into English include Richard Wayne Chambliss.

MiNE

In 2000, Shenderovich became a professor of business modeling at Universitá Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Piacenza, Italy, and was named Fellow of the MiNE [http://www.mine.it] program in 2004.
