Marrack was born in England, and completed both undergraduate and Ph.D. work at
Cambridge University , New Hall. During her Ph.D., she worked at the MRCLaboratory of Molecular Biology withAlan Munro , where she began to work onT cell s. She then did a postdoc withRichard Dutton at theUniversity of California, San Diego .Her first faculty position was with the
