Cameron Joseph Collins (born June 27, 1979 in Seattle, Washington), more popularly known as "Grendel," is an award winning disc jockey and an attorney. He is a founding partner at Saku Collins Entertainment and Media Law Group and hosts weekly radio shows on KSUB, Seattle 89.1 FM and KGRG, Auburn 89.9 FM.

Biography

Personal life

Collins was born in Seattle, Washington and attended high school at Seattle Prep. He then attended Santa Clara University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in History and French & Francophone Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. While there, he served on the Facilities and Operation Senate Sub-Committee, [ [http://www.linkedin.com/pub/4/5ba/524 LinkedIn: Cameron Collins ] ] as a music editorialist for The Santa Clara, and he was a member of the Lambda Upsilon Chapter of The Phi Alpha Theta Honors Society. Following college, Collins attended the Seattle University School of Law, where he received his J.D. with Honors. While attending law school, he was Director of the Seattle University Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild, Editor and Layout Coordinator of The Environmental Law Society Perspectives, and Assistant Editor of [http://www.law.seattleu.edu/pr/ The Prolific Reporter] . ["See" Note 2.] In 2006 he was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Excellent Achievement in the Study of Entertainment Law and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Excellent Achievement in the Study of Criminal Procedure Investigative.

KSCU Radio

Collins began working at KSCU radio during his freshman year of college. Aside from being a Disc Jockey, he served as Fundraising Director, Program Director, Promotions Director, and General Manager of the station. [cite news

KSUB Radio

Upon attending Seattle University, Collins became Music Director and a Disc Jockey at KSUB, Seattle University's Radio Station. After two years of working as Music Director, he became General Manager of the station. After graduating from Seattle University's School of Law, Collins has continued to host the [http://www.myspace.com/punkrockpariahradioshow Punk Rock Pariah Radio Show] , which is formatted with the first hour featuring classic Rockabilly and Psychobilly, while the second hour features Punk and Ska.

KGRG Radio

In the Spring of 2008, Collins began also working as a Disc Jockey at KGRG, Green River Community College's Radio Station. Until August of 2008, he was a co-host on [http://www.myspace.com/kgrg_diy D.I.Y. with the Pope and Grendel] , which played strictly local music from the Pacific Northwest. Since the demise of D.I.Y., Collins has begun co-hosting a new radio program focusing on the Seattle Music scene called [http://www.myspace.com/raincitysoundradio Rain City Sound with Scarlett and Grendel] .

Legal career

In the Summer of 2007, Collins, along with fellow Seattle University School of Law alum Mark B. Saku, opened Saku Collins Entertainment and Media Law Group. According to the law firm's website, they are "Seattle's premier entertainment law firm", providing legal services in all aspects of the entertainment industry. Collins has since branded himself as the Punk Rock Lawyer, proclaiming his Punk Rock/D.I.Y ethic and stating that he is an active member of the Seattle music scene as a musician, disc jockey, concert promoter, blogger, photographer, and roadie, in the punk, indie, and hip hop scenes.
