WSYA (1490 AM, "Sunny 104.3") is a radio station, currently silent, that will soon be broadcasting an Adult Contemporary/Soft Rock music format. [cite web |url=http://www.arbitron.com |title=Station Information Profile |work=Arbitron] Licensed to Anniston, Alabama, USA, the station serves the Anniston-Oxford Metropolitan Area. The station is currently owned by Jacobs Broadcast Group, Inc. History

Until May 2008, the station had been sports radio formatted WANA, known on-air as "Sports Radio 1490 The Ticket."In May 2008, the station announced it would change its call letters to WSYA and that by the end of May it would be broadcasting a Soft Adult Contemporary music format, simulcast on an FM translator in Anniston. The station was assigned the WSYA call letters by the Federal Communications Commission on May 23, 2008.cite web |title=Call Sign History |url=http://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/ws.exe/prod/cdbs/pubacc/prod/call_hist.pl?Facility_id=2311&Callsign=WSYA |work=FCC Media Bureau CDBS Public Access Database] However, in early July, station ownership announced on their website that they would be pushing back the launch date of the station to some time "before the end of the month" with new morning show "The Bob and Sheri Show". [cite web |url=http://www.wtdrthunder.com/content/view/153/54/ |title=WSYA "Sunny 104.3" Promotion Information |work=Jacobs Broadcast Group] As of September 25, 2008, the station had not yet launched but has announced on their website a 10:00 a.m. October 17, 2008 launch date.

The station is unusual in that very few AM radio stations in the US are permitted to rebroadcast their programming on an FM translator. WSYA is especially unusual in that announced on-air branding as "Sunny 104.3" derives from the 104.3 FM frequency of the translator, not the primary radio station at 1490 AM.

The station gets its call letters and branding from WMXS in Montgomery, Alabama, which used the WSYA call letters and was known as "Sunny 103" from 1987 to 1994.
