Zolberg (real name Ragnar Sólberg Rafnsson) is an Icelandic singer, guitarist and songwriter from the Icelandic hard rock band Sign.
Biography
Zolberg was born on December 2, 1986 in Iceland and was given the name Ragnar Sólberg. When he was very young, people started to see that he was very talented as a guitar player, drummer and a singer. Only 11 years old Zolberg released his first solo album after recording in his father's studio. The recording included Zolberg's own self-written materials and made him the youngest to release an album in Icelandic music history.Fact|date=August 2008 This CD wasn't a hit but helped him a lot later when he formed Sign.When Zolberg was 14 years old he formed Sign with his brother Egill(Eagle) and his friend Hörður Stefánsson under the name "HALIM". His present bandmates include Eagle on drums, A.D. on guitar, Aggi on guitar and keyboards and Heimir on bass. "Sign" have released two albums in Icelandic 2001's "Vindar og Breytingar" (Winds and Changes) and 2002's "Fyir Ofan Himininn" (Above The Sky). In 2006 they released "Thank God For Silence", their first album in English, and began to be recognised internationally. Zolberg and Eagles father was diagnosed with motor neuron disease the year Zolberg was born, and passed away on June 27, 2004. Zolberg has recently relishedwhat SIGN's fourth album "The Hope" and is about to publish his second solo album "með rómverskum fornmekjum".
