The road, which is multi-lane and divided throughout its duration, is lined with a mixture of residential and commercial development. Many view Loch Raven Boulevard as the eastern boundary of the Towson area.
Cromwell Bridge Road
"Cromwell Bridge Road" is a road that runs from Providence Road to Glen Arm Road/Cub Hill Road. It is best known as exit 29 off I-695, an exit shared with Loch Raven Boulevard. The section west of this exit and inside the Beltway is lined with office space and homes while the section east of this exit and outside the Beltway is primarily rural and undeveloped. Loch Raven High School is a landmark along this road just outside the Beltway.
Providence Road
Providence Road is exit 28 off I-695 and is primarily a residential street. Up until 1996, when buses were discontinued, the
Maryland Transit Administration operated apark-and-ride near the exit. The south end of the road terminates at Joppa Road East, next to the Public Safety Building and the main offices ofBlack & Decker .
