Juvento

Juvento

Juvento (Mouvement de Jeunesse Togolaise, Togolese Youth Movement) was a social democratic political party in Togo. It had its roots as a youth group in the Committee of Togolese Unity (CUT) of assassinated president Sylvanus Olympio. Juvento was founded on 25 September 1951 and dissolved after the 1967 coup.

In the early 1990s a new party was formed using the same name. In the parliamentary election held on 27 October 2002, the party won two out of 81 seats in the National Assembly. It participated in the October 2007 parliamentary election, but did not win any seats.
