september 4 2007 , theUN 'sSecretary General Ban Ki-moon appointed Ashraf Qazi as his new Special Representative inSudan . His main task will be the supervision of the UN's peacekeeping force in Sudan's Southern region.Fact|date=September 2007Between 2004 and 2007 he was the Special Representative of the Secretary-General in charge of the

Copenhagen ,Tokyo ,Cairo ,Tripoli andLondon .He is half Irish. His mother, Jennifer, is from
County Kerry in Ireland. She resided until her death in PishinBalochistan, Pakistan .
