Britta Kamrau

Britta Kamrau-Corestein (born 6 April 1979 in Rostock) is a German long distance swimmer. She is a former European champion at the 5k, 10k and 25k Open Water distances [cite news | url=http://www.acswim.org/SwimmerProfiles/Women/Britta/BrittaKamrau.htm| title=Britta Kamrau | publisher=acswim| date=| accessdate=2007-11-20] and current World champion at 25k.

In March 2007 she was the center of some controversy after she claimed that Australian swimmer Kate Brookes-Peterson pulled her from behind in the final 100 meters of the 5K Open Water race at the 2007 World Aquatics Championships [cite news | url=http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/03/17/AR2007031700878.html| title=Open Water Titles| publisher=Washington Post| date=2007-03-18| accessdate=2007-11-20] denying her a bronze medal.
