It has a population of approximately 350. [ [http://www.egd.com.au/centres/Raymond%20Island/raymond_island.htm Raymond Island] ] It is well-known locally for its large koala population and its chain ferry. Raymond Island had a Post Office from 3 April 1967 until 11 April 1968. Citation
