This species is found on rocks at low tide, and also on the backs of "
Haliotis " shells.Description
The shell is of moderate size, solid, the apex at the anterior third, radially ribbed. The ribs range from 15 to 24 and averaging about 18. Usually the sculpture is obscured by a heavy coating of "Melobesia"
coral linealga e.The interior is porcellaneous, pink to whitish, the margin narrowly edged in darker pink.
Length is up to 19 mm, width up to 15 mm, and height up to 8 mm.
