The Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team provides
Search and Rescue services in and around the Scarborough andRyedale areas ofNorth Yorkshire ,England . It was founded in 1965 as the Scarborough and District Search and Rescue Team to help rescue walkers lost or injured on the
North York Moors ,England . It was originally started by theNorth York Moors National Park voluntary rangers who saw a need to provide a service to the increasing numbers of walkers using the moors.
