Long Distance Hurdle

The Long Distance Hurdle is a Grade 2 National Hunt hurdle race open to horses which are four-years-old or above. It is run over a distance of 3 miles and 110 yards (4,929 metres) at Newbury Racecourse, and it takes place annually in late November or early December. There are twelve hurdles to be jumped in the race.

It was first run in 1990. Prior to 1992 it was run over the slightly longer distance of 3 miles and 120 yards (4,938 metres).

* "Amateur jockeys indicated by "Mr"."note label|1992|1|1 Burgoyne finished first in 1992 but was relegated to second place following a Stewards' Inquiry.
