Slavko Osterc (
June 17 1895 –May 23 1941 ), was aSlovenia n composer.Osterc was born in
Veržej . He studied under Beran, who was a pupil ofLeos Janacek , in his youth before attending thePrague Conservatory from 1925-27. While there he studied underKarel Boleslav Jirák ,Vítězslav Novák andAlois Hába . Osterc was a professor at the academy inLjubljana for much of his career, remaining there until his death.Works
