Frank Lowe (June 24, 1943September 19 2003) was an American avant-garde jazz saxophonist and composer.

Overview

Frank Lowe was a tenor saxophonist who was extreamly influenced by the first and second waves of free jazz throughout the 1960s. On September 19, 2003, Frank Lowe died of lung cancer. His legacy was a variegated body of recordings and memorable performances.
