Western School of Technology and Environmental Science, or WSTES or Western Tech for short, is a magnet public high school in Baltimore, Maryland. It is located on 100 Kenwood Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21228. The school's main focuses are Career and Technology programs. Western currently offers 12 of these programs. The magnets offered are Automotive, Cosmeotology, Culinary, Environmental Science, Environmental Technology, Graphic Print Communications, Health Science, Information Systems Management, Information Technology, Network Administration and Design, and Plumbing, Heating, and Gas Fitting. The current principal is Richard Jester and the assistant principals are Alisha Trusty and Caroline Lapan. The school's mascot is the wolverine, with the school colors being Carolina blue, black, and white. Western also offers internships and work study programs for students in the 12th grade. However, students must maintain and A or B in their magnet programs. This school is also currently one of the few, possibly the only school in the Baltimore County School System that does not have a field of its own, and so many sports activities must be played at nearby Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC).
