"Cellana strigilis chathamensis" is a subspecies of large limpet, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Patellidae, one of the families of true limpets.

Distribution

This subspecies is endemic to New Zealand's Chatham Islands.

hell description

The shell is large and solid, nearest to the subspecies "Cellana strigilis bollonsi", but with a simpler colour pattern, the dark brown radial streaks being numerous, straight and narrow, never blotched.

The internal shell coloration is yellowish-brown.

The maximum shell length is 72.5 mm, width 56 mm, and height 32 mm.
