Wayne Chatfield-Taylor (b. December 19, 1893, d. Roosevelt. The son of author Hobart Chatfield-Taylor and grandson of Senator Charles B. Farwell, he was a graduate St. Mark's School and of Yale University, Chatfield-Taylor was the president of the Export-Import Bank of Washington from 1945-46. Chatfield-Taylor built the noted Lake Forest,Illinois mansion "Bluff's Edge".

Later economic advisor to Paul G. Hoffman in setting up the European Cooperation Administration, Chatfield-Taylor was also economic advisor to the European Recovery Program after World War II.
