Qrendi F.C.

Qrendi F.C.

Qrendi F.C. is a football club from the village of Qrendi in southern Malta. Founded in 1955, it currently competes in the Maltese Third Division.

The current Malta Football Association president Dr. Joe Mifsud originally was the Qrendi council member representing his club on the association he now leads.

The club experienced some financial problems in 1995, just a year later the team had been promoted to second division. However 10 years later in 2006, a new committee was founded. During the season 2006-2007 Qrendi reached the play-offs but failed to be promoted losing all 3 matches in the play-offs. In the season 2007-2008 Qrendi finished in the fifth place.
