Neyla (Sly Cooper)

History

Neyla grew up a poor child in New Delhi and scammed her way into an exclusive British university. While there, she used her strong powers of persuasion to create a homework ring of other students to do her work for her. When the ring was broken and she was discovered, the authorities were so impressed with her skills that they offered her a job at Interpol. She was 22 by the time she was assigned to be Carmelita's partner.

Neyla first appears in the opening mission, waiting with Carmelita in the museum. When Carmelita accuses Sly of stealing the Clockwerk parts, Neyla mentions that it looks more like a Klaww Gang job. Sly took this as a clue and began to investigate the Klaww Gang.

Later, when Sly was trying to steal the Clockwerk Tail Feathers in Paris, Neyla appeared and had him chase her. Once he caught up, Neyla gave him a key to Dimitri's night club.

Neyla also helped Sly get to dance with Carmelita at Rajan's palace where sparks flew between herself and Carmelita in regards to the disguised thief. She later showed him a secret entrance to Rajan's spice production plant, even promising a date to Bollywood after the mission was complete.

However, Neyla showed her true colors when Sly needed to attack Rajan; she offered her assistance, but when Sly was ready to attack with her, she backed out with a teasing apology and let Rajan knock him out. When Murray defeated Rajan, Neyla refused to offer the trapped Murray and injured Sly assistance and instead helped the Contessa arrest Murray, Sly, Rajan. Her treachery was only worsened by her betraying Carmelita by showing the Contessa a photo of Carmelita dancing with Sly, and despite Carmelita's protests that she did not know she had been dancing with Sly (which was true) she was placed under arrest as well.But deep inside Neyla felt ashemed of herself.

After that happened, Bentley, who managed to stay away from the Contessa, had to find a way to bust Sly and Murray out of jail in the city Of Prague. So Bentley had to eavesdrop on the Contessa once he arrived to hear where she had locked up Sly and Murray, so it appeared Sly was locked in a jail cell which Contessa calls 'the hole' surrounded by a wall with guards carrying motion detectors all along it. There was no way for Sly to escape unless Bentley hacked the train stations to speed up the train at full speed so it would create a hole large enough for Sly to escape through, so after that he took out all the guards carrying motion detectors along the wall with his RC Chopper and... BINGO! Sly was back in action. Now Murray, was locked up in a prison in the middle of town. But there was no way for Sly and Bentley to get in. So first, Sly snuck in a back wall to the cell Murray was in and told him that if he got in a big enough fight with the guards, they would through him in solitary confinement (where Sly and Bentley were able to have access to). There were a few more jobs for Sly to do to set things up. So in the heist Bentley had to steal the contessa's tank and drive up to the castle (while Sly was remaining undetected by crawling underneath) and bust the door to it open. After they got in Sly headed up to the office and input the code to open the gates to solitary confinement. Once Sly and Bentley got in Murray was all weirded out as he was forced to eat meals covered in spice, he didn't even know that Sly and Bentley were there. So Bentley tried to wind Murray up by hacking the laser wall to the horrible-sounded hypno-boxes so Murray would go crazy and probably come busting out of the cell. Despite Murray being angry, he tried to take it out on Sly. After his attacks broke the hypno-boxes his mind was cleared again. The gang were back in action and they were out to get revenge on The Contessa and Constable Neyla.

After the Cooper Gang's escape and the Contessa emerging as a Klaww Gang member, Neyla was given task of capturing the Contessa who had retreated to her Gothic castle. During the gang's attempt to steal the eyes and save Carmelita, Neyla stole one of them, but was chased down by Sly, and lost it. After escaping, she arrested the Contessa and got promoted to Captain.

When the Cooper gang was trying to rob Jean Bison in Canada, Neyla made a brief appearance: while Sly was on Iron Horse #3, Neyla attacked him in an air ship. Bentley defeated her using his RC Chopper.

Finally, when Sly snuck onto Arpeggio's blimp, it was revealed that Neyla had really been working for Arpeggio all along - but she later double-crosses him like everyone else. She then fuses herself with Clockwerk, kills Arpeggio, and becomes Clock-La.

Through the combined efforts of the Cooper Gang and Carmelita, she crashed in Paris, but survived. Murray pried open her beak so that Bentley could remove the Hate Chip, which was the source of her power. However, her jaw slammed down on Bentley, paralyzing him for life. Despite the serious injuries, the Cooper Gang managed to blow up the mechanic owl only to discover that the parts, though separate, were still intact. Before being blown up, a hologram of Neyla promising to kill the Cooper Gang, screaming about her hatred towards them. When Carmelita arrived she smashes the Hate Chip, causing the parts to disintegrate.But inside the real Neyla could only watch they were Clockwerks words.

Neyla is a white tiger. When she was Constable Neyla in , she wears head jewelry, a red scarf, use a whip as her weapon and her clothes looks like the same Lara Croft wears in Tomb Raider.
