History

Founded in 1962, Linganore opened to serve the largest geographical area in Frederick County. The new building, set to be finished by 2010, will have a 1600 student capacity and will cost approximately $53 million. While the new school is being built, students will attend the new Oakdale High. However, the school will not be called Oakdale, but known as Linganore High School at Oakdale.
