The Good Guys is a chain of consumer electronics retail stores in Australia.
History
The Good Guys began retailing in electrical goods in Victoria in 1952. Initial growth was slow, with 14 stores across the state in 1992. A strong advertising campaign in 1998, which resulted in strong sales, also led to a rapid expansion of stores across the country. By 2007, the chain had grown to 72 stores across Australia.
Television commercials for The Good Guys notably feature the song Good Vibrations, by The Beach Boys, with altered lyrics.
