Vikaspuri

Vikaspuri

Vikaspuri is a suburb of Delhi, India. Started by the Delhi Development Authority in the 1980s, it boomed in population in the late 1990s. Real estate prices have shot up and are comparable to any posh areas of Delhi, in large part because of the continued boom of immigrants.

The geographical area of Vikaspuri was mostly agricultural land, parts of villages called Budhella, Keshopur and Hasthsal. These villages continue to exist right amid the suburb.
