YDreams

YDreams is a Portuguese information technology company that develops proprietary technology in a variety of fields such as augmented reality, image processing, motion interfaces and pervasive gaming. They combine recent technological advances and front-end design to create interactive experiences that facilitate information exploration in spaces, which range from stores and showrooms to cultural exhibitions and events booths.

History

YDreams was founded in June 2000 by specialists in information technology, telecommunications, image processing, geographic information systems and environmental engineering.

Headquartered in Lisbon, the company operates globally from offices in Spain, North America, Brazil and the United Kingdom. YDreams has worked with multinationals such as Vodafone, NOKIA and Adidas, and has been covered in international publications such as Wired Magazine’s May 2006 issue and The Economist’s Technology Quarterly Review, December 8, 2007.

In 2005, YDreams was distinguished as one of Europe's emerging companies in the field of telecommunications and selected to be profiled and broadcast on CNBC Europe. Products

YDreams has been working on the development of virtual sightseeing, location based games, immersive experiences in public spaces and interactive storytelling that expand on conventional augmented reality concepts. The underlying technologies and cases developed in three continents for companies such as Vodafone, NOKIA, Adidas, Ford and Unilever.
