List of diplomatic missions to the Holy See

thumb|right|250px|Diplomatic missions to the Holy See">legend|Red|Holy Seelegend|Blue|Countries with embassies to the Holy See based in Romelegend|Turquoise|Countries with missions to the Holy See based in RomeThis page lists diplomatic missions accredited to the Holy See. Since the State of Vatican City, over which the Holy See is sovereign, is so small as to render any resident diplomatic community impractica, all embassies are located in Rome. 69 countries maintain embassies to the Holy See.

Missions are accredited to the Holy See, the government of the Catholic Church and the temporal ruler of the Vatican City. The Holy See does not permit a single ambassador to be accredited to both the Church and Italy simultaneously. Thus, embassies from countries that do not maintain a separate mission to the Holy See are accredited from Bern and other European capitals.

Embassies to the Holy See usually do not maintain consular sections, allowing their other embassy in Rome or another elsewhere to provide services to those holding passports issued by the Holy See.
