Brindaban Society

Vrindavan Society, Thane West, is a big housing complex with over 100 buildings in Thane city. En route to this society was once India's first floating hotel. The society is also one of the most popular landmarks in the city, and is known for its cosmopolitan and peaceful character.

The place is well connected to various parts of Thane, Mumbai and New Bombay by TMT and MSRTC buses. There are morning peak hour MSRTC buses to Borivili, South Mumbai, Haj Ali, Panvel and Andheri from the society. There are return buses to Brindaban from the above mentioned places in the evenings.The TMT buses ply to Thane station on a frequency of 5 to 10 minutes and start their operations at 5am in the morning with the last bus to the society from the station at around 1.50am. Auto rickshaws are available at any point of time with share-auto services available especially during peak hours.

There are three major department stores in the locality: the recently opened Reliance Fresh, Shubam Department Stores and Shubiksha.The hypermarket Big Bazaar is within the range of 3km from the society. "Cine Wonder" is the nearest multiplex while other theatres and multiplexes in Thane are easily covered by auto and buses.

Holy Cross (only for girls), Shrirang and Saraswati school (RABODI) are the neighbourhood schools while all other mains schools in Thane have their buses picking up children from the society.

"Goodluck", "Patel" and "Arihant" are the popular grocery stores in the society while Monginis is the main cake shop.There are "ICICI and SBI" ATMs in the society while Thane Gramin Bank has a full-fledged branch.

There is a well-maintained park in the centre of the society dividing its two phases. The first phase is cosmopolitan while in the second phase 70% of the residents are South Indians. Kairali association for Keralites and Brindaban Seva Sangham for Tamilians are the two prominent cultural bodies in the region.

"Chefs Corner," Ruchi and China hut and Garden inn are the food outlets with home delivery services.There is also a hanuman temple.Siddhivinayak & Shubham are small hotels for Maharashtra's food.they also sell house hold items.Most of the societies in the complex have their own security guards operating in shifts, thereby security is a never a problem.
