This is a list of the administrative divisions of the municipality of Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul.
Districts
The municipality is divided into 10 districts ( _pt. distritos):
Apart from the 1st District, all the others are administered by submayors ("subprefeitos"), each of them elected by the districts' respective inhabitants.
"Sede": Administrative Regions
The 1st District, "Sede", contains the urban perimeter of Santa Maria, i.e. the city itself. For its greater complexity when compared to the other ones, the Seat District is further subdivided into 8 administrative regions ("regiões administrativas") and 41 neighbourhoods ("bairros").
Following is a list of the Seat District's "bairros" organized per administrative region, hereinafter called RAs (from Portuguese: "região administrativa").
