Seethawaka Rajasinghe I [ [http://www.rootsweb.com/~lkawgw/wdsuriya.html The first up-country Sinhalese who ascended the throne] The Observer - December 29, 2002] (1581 - 1593) was an 16th century ruler in Sri Lanka who converted to Hinduism.
