Bob Roggy (born
1956-08-06 inHolmdel Township, New Jersey – died August 1986) was ajavelin throw er from theUnited States . He set the world best year performance in 1982, throwing 95.80 metres inStuttgart ,West Germany on1982-08-29 .A meet was named after him after Roggy's tragic death at age 30 in August 1986. The meet name became the New Jersey International Meet in 1988, with the "Bob Roggy Memorial Javelin Throw" a feature event within it. Roggy was killed in an accident in 1986 in
Houston, Texas at the first Olympic Sports Festival.Roggy attended
