- Jean-Jacques Origas
Jean-Jacques Origas (1937- 2003) was a French scholar of Japanese literature and art; and he was an expert in the teaching of Japanese as a foreign language in France. He was a Japanologist and a Professor of Japanese at the
Sorbonne in Paris.An academic career
Origas studied Japanese the Sorbonne. He furthered his education at
