KKAT (860 AM) is a radio station broadcasting an oldies format serving the Salt Lake City area. The station is an ABC Radio O&O station and features programing from The True Oldies Channel. The station is also owned by Citadel Broadcasting. It was once a classic country radio station with programming from the Jones Radio Network before the change to its current format.

History

In the 1970s, the station was known as KWHO, and carried classical music. The station operated during the day only. On November 15, 1990, the station changed its calls to KCNR. On August 11, 1992, the station changed its call sign again to KLZX. On January 23, 1995, it changed again to KAPN and on September 20, 1996 back to KCNR. On March 3, 1999, the station changed to KBEE and on July 5, 2004 to the current KKAT.
