In 1997 he began playing at major junior level for thePlymouth Whalers of the OHL. Passmore played there for just one season, before moving the short distance to sign for theOshawa Generals , again in the OHL, where he stayed for two seasons. Passmore's productivity meant that in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, he was selected by theMinnesota Wild in the seventh round, pick number 199 overall, but unfortunately failed to impress.Passmore returned to the OHL, this time icing for the
Guelph Storm . Over his four seasons in the OHL, Passmore's points production was more than respectable, a total of 171 points in 243 games. Passmore's potential was seen by theUniversity of Prince Edward Island , with who he played for two seasons. After his two year University career, he moved into theECHL . During a frantic 2003/04 season, Passmore would play for no less than four teams - theCincinnati Cyclones , theGreenville Grrrowl , theTexas Wildcatters and theFresno Falcons . Due to the lack of any time to familiarise himself with his team mates, Passmore struggled for points. This struggle would continue in the 2004/05 season, which Passmore shared between a second ill-fated spell at the
Texas Wildcatters and theAugusta Lynx , managing just 16 points in 71 games. The Lynx showed faith in Passmore though and gave him the consistency he needed to again find his scoring touch. During the 2005/06 and 2006/07 seasons he spent with the Lynx, Passmore grabbed 89 points in 99 games, a far better return than previous seasons. In the summer of 2007, Passmore decided to travel to
Europe and signed for theManchester Phoenix , a team icing in theEIHL , the highest level of hockey inEngland . Passmore would adapt quickly to life in England, and finished the season with 17 goals and 42 assists, a total of 59 points in 62 games. Despite this, Passmore was released as part of a complete re-building process by head coachTony Hand . Passmore would return to North America and sign for theOklahoma City Blazers External links
