Eureka Senior High School is the only public high school in the city of Eureka, California. It is the largest high school in Humboldt County and is part of the Eureka City Schools District.

History

Eureka High School was built in 1915 as the first high school on the Northern California coast. The building was designed by William H. Weeks, a noted architect of the time.

The Eureka High School mascot is the Logger, based on the logging industry which is the major economic industry of the area. The school colors of red and green are based on the redwood tree (red bark/wood, green foliage) which is vital to both the logging industry and the emerging eco-tourist industry.
