Synophrys

Synophrys, also known as a unibrow or monobrow, refers to a "confluence of eyebrows"; i.e. the presence of abundant hair between the eyebrows, so that they seem to converge to form one long eyebrow.

Synophrys has been the subject of various misconceptions and superstitions. Victorian criminologist Cesare Lombroso identified unibrows as a sign of criminality but was later discredited. The practice of plucking eyebrows specifically to remove the bridge is commonplace, but some famous people have become well-known for their monobrow, such as Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.

While it can be a normal variant, it is also typically found in some syndromes, like Cornelia de Lange Syndrome
