Jane Kopas Women's Center

The Jane Kopas Women’s Center, founded in 1994 on the University of Scranton campus, has been bringing equality, respect and understanding between men and women since opening its doors. The Center looks to raise awareness in the community and the campus of gender bias and the empowerment of women wherever their message can be reached. Men and women from the center work together in order to work towards eliminating gender inequalities on both groups. There are numerous activities the Center works on both on and off campus in order to spread the message further. The Jane Kopas Center offers Crisis Response Resource information for anyone on and off campus needing information on the matter.

PACT, Promoting Awareness of the College Transition, was founded by the Women’s Center to educate students on relationships. Through this program, a student can learn about healthy and violent relationships of heterosexual, homosexual, and transgender individuals, stalking, consent, sexual assault, drug and alcohol facilitated sexual assault, as well as what men and women can do to protect themselves and others.
