Abilene (song)

Abilene is a 1963 song originally recorded by George Hamilton IV. Written by Bob Gibson and John D. Loudermilk, it reached number one on the country music charts for four weeks, and peaked at number 15 on the pop music charts.

Abilene is also a city in Texas.
