The 2001 Carolina Panthers season was the 7th season for the team in the National Football League. They tried to improve upon their 7-9 record in 2000, and make it to the playoffs for the second time in franchise history.

The Panthers went 1-15, winning only their opener. Following the season, George Seifert was fired and replaced by John Fox.
