Tulkarm Governorate

The Tulkarm Governorate ( _ar. محافظة طولكرم) is an administrative district and one of 16 Governorates of the Palestinian National Authority located in the northwestern West Bank. The governorate's land area is 268 square kilometers. [ [http://www.pcbs.gov.ps/Portals/_pcbs/populati/pop03.aspx Projected Mid -Year Population for Tulkarm Governorate by Locality 2004- 2006] ] The "muhfaza" or district capital is the city of Tulkarm.
