- Avalon Family Films
Avalon Family Entertainment specializes in the production of family friendly movies. They are based in Los Angeles, California and are responsible for the soon-to-be released "Jack and the Beanstalk". Their creative team has collectively worked on a number of Hollywood hits such as: Hook, Hansel and Gretel, and Home Alone. Their main focus is bringing time-tested fairy tales to life on the big screen. Their goal is to produce movies that the entire family can watch. Therefore, their movies usually carry a “G” or “PG” rating. Avalon Family Entertainment began when the current CEO, Gary DePew, saw the need for more family friendly films in the box office.
"Jack and the Beanstalk" will be the first in a series of fairy tale based films by Avalon Family Entertainment. This first movie wraped up shooting in Holywood late summer 2007 and is now in the final stages of post production with a targeted release date of June 2008. Also notable is the highly talented team assembled for this project by Producer and CEO Gary DePew. An impressive cast, (Katey Sagal, Chevy Chase, Gibert Gottfried, Christopher Lloyd, Wallace Shawn, James Karen, and the voice of James Earl Jones), coupled with a seasoned crew would give one hope that Avalon's first movie has a chance to be a really good one.
